and have electricity bills over $500, you may qualify...

If you live in Queensland, receive Family Tax Benefit B, own your own home, and have electricity bills over $500, you may qualify for an interest and fee free loan to install Solar Power.

The Queensland State Government's has recently launched a package of loans as part of their ‘Cost Of Living Support' program to assist lower income families access solar power.

15 million dollars has been allocated for 3500 individual loans of $4500, to help those receiving Family Tax Benefit B reduce their household bills. The loans, which have no application fees or charges and can be paid back over 7 years, are available until June 30, 2019 or until funding is exhausted.

More solar system government loans available soon

Other loans aimed at the wider community, for adding batteries to existing solar systems, and solar and battery combination systems, will be introduced later in the year.

Centrelink FTB solar power loan applications are now open

Loans are administered by the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority and applications are now open. For assistance and more information on the scheme head to the QRIDA website at

Shared Parenting

. Shared Parenting is a form of child custody division of time or parental responsibility between the parents. Mother's often look for a good divorce lawyer to try to avoid share parenting with an abusive ex-spouse after divorce, however in many cases Shared Parenting is still the outcome after the divorce, no matter how good the divorce lawyers have been. They will often settle for visitation at a contact centre or access centre where fathers or mothers are supervised during child custody access.
