CSMC is a statewide community organisation run for and by single mothers and their children. We provide telephone support and counselling, referral, advice and emergency relief to single mothers throughout Victoria

YMCA Victoria provides a unique program working with single parent families. Parentlink has a range of member activities and programs that increase family participation and assist in lessening isolation often felt by single parent families. Membership includes a quarterly newsletter that is packed with handy information that provides advice, support and resources that support single parents
Melbourne Single Parent Support Groups and Programs

Run by an enthusiastic group of single parents, SPAK is a social and networking group especially for single parents and their children. They organise affordable activities and events such as family dinners and play centre outings, and hold several camps throughout the year
|Victoria – Melbourne (Thornbury) – Solo Mums Group|
This Solo Mums’ Group is created to support women who are single or partnered but not with the father of their children, and looking for: community connections, support and networking but most of all just getting women together to see they are not unique in their situation and have an opportunity to share!
The group will be held fortnightly, the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, for the next few months and may evolve to become more or less frequent. The group will run for a couple of hours on the Thursday morning, beginning at 10am and finishing around 12pm.
As a group, we are organizing to have guest speakers to come and share their knowledge about nutrition and pampering for the mothers, and other various therapeutic, knowledge and health related activities. We are also we are looking to create a children’s book about single mothers and their children with the help of an art therapist.
Child care will happen if the women wish, and when we receive funding for subsidised care, but in the meantime the children are very welcome in the group.

West Footscray Neighbourhood House Single Mum’s Group. The single mum’s group will meet every 2nd Saturday of each month from 2-4pm, upstairs in the childcare room. Afternoon tea provided.

A support group for solo Mums. This group is free and runs weekly during the school term, in partnership with Anglicare. Young children are welcome and morning tea is supplied.
