Natural Parent magazine are seeking solo mums
I’m writing an article for a parenting magazine profiling what it’s like to be a single parent – the challenges, the multi-tasking, the exhaustion…and perhaps the surprising upsides too.
I’m keen to chat to several women who have become solo parents via different means – perhaps you’ve separated from your partner, you may have chosen to become a parent by yourself via a sperm donor or adoption, maybe you sadly ended up solo via bereavement, or perhaps you are a military wife or your partner works/lives overseas or is away a lot. I’m interested in how you handle the crazy juggle of parenthood, largely by yourself.
You would ideally be comfortable with having your first name, and a photo of yourself and your child/children in the magazine, to accompany the story (however if you’re not comfortable with this, we can potentially work around it).
If you are happy to take part in the story, we’ll set up a phone interview in the coming weeks. I can send through interview questions in advance, too..
