Researchers with ABC Radio National in Melbourne, are seeking single parents in country areas who are affected by the federal government’s changes to sole parenting payments.

Specifically, they are after single parents who could talk from experience about:

• Are some sole parents forced to move out of urban areas (where housing is often expensive) and in to rural areas (where housing is more affordable)
• Is it hard to get a job in a country town. Now that more single parents are forced onto the dole, how does that cause an added difficulty?
• They are keen to speak with either sole parents themselves
