that lost their Parenting Payment Single to Newstart

The University of Queensland’s School of Social Science, in collaboration with the Queensland Welfare Rights Centre (QWRC), is currently investigating the impact on single parents of losing eligibility for ‘Parenting Payment Single’ (PPS), since the 1st January, 2013 because their youngest child is over the age of eight (8) years old.(Grandfathered recipients).

The QWRC intends to use the final research report as a tool to lobby government for future changes to social security policy, with the specific aim of improving outcomes for single parents.

The impact and success of the research depends upon achieving a high response rate to the survey.

The survey is completely anonymous and we expressly request that you do not share any information that could identify you personally. The survey link will be live from the 20/08/13 to the 20/09/13. It is possible that these dates may be extended depending upon the response rate to the survey. We expect the survey to take around 15 -20 minutes to complete.
